Why me

My first year in the business was everyone else's worst.

2007. That timing taught me everything: the loan officers who survived were the ones who knew their craft and told the truth. Nineteen years later I'm still originating, still teaching, and still of the opinion that most veterans get talked out of their own benefit by people who never learned how it works.

Since then I've run training and operations for a national mortgage school, co-founded Vetted VA with Christopher Griffith, and built MLO Force into an NMLS-approved education provider. I write for HousingWire, speak at industry conferences, and serve as president of my local chamber of commerce.
